As a Drawing &Design Team Leader, you will manage a team of designers/engineers to deliver high quality, cost effective and timely engineering solutions to customers for Electrification Business Area in Xiamen, China. Reporting to the Project Operations Manager, you will ensure team‘s compliance with standard processes, procedures, practices and safety requirements.
- Defining and ensuring implementation of operating guidelines for team. Oversees progress within own area of responsibility, identifies and manages technical issues. - Driving team performance to ensure that deliverables are met on time, as per the set contract, safety and quality requirements. - Ensuring delivery of technical solutions according to customer requirements. Drives development of processes/practices based on customer feedback. - Providing engineering support during the bid phase, ensures that the resources required to deliver the technical solutions are correctly accounted （ the requirements for safety, technical competence, quality, schedule and cost）. - Overseeing contractual work within own area of responsibility. Conducts regular progress reviews, identifies and manages contractual risks. - Ensuring that the engineering team is adequately resourced, developed and equipped to meet business needs.Ensures correct assignments of tasks within the engineering team, defines relevant performance metrics. Creating work plans and cost estimates for engineering work. - Ensuring completion of risk assessments and opportunity assessments （ variation orders and claims） and implementation of resulting actions across projects. - Ensuring （with HR support） that the area of responsibility is properly organized, staffed, skilled and directed. Guiding, motivating, coaching and developing direct and indirect subordinates within HR polices.
- 5 years engineering experience - Possess good communication and problem solving skills. - A Bachelor or above in Electrical/Mechanical - Communication/coordination skills cross function in both Chinese and English - Must be result-orientated and very responsible - Strong ability to solve conflicts.
